CYO
Forming Virtue Through Sport
At Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist, athletics are an extension of our mission to educate the whole child — mind, body, and soul. Through our CYO athletic program, students develop not only physical strength and athletic skill but also the virtues necessary to become faithful disciples of Christ.
As the Regina Academy SJB Crusaders, our student-athletes are called to compete with courage, integrity, humility, and perseverance. Through competition, discipline, and teamwork, students learn to respond to challenges with grace, support one another, and use their God-given talents in pursuit of what is good, true, and beautiful.
Athletics at Regina Academy help form not only skilled athletes, but virtuous leaders who strive to glorify God in all they do.
Our Sports
As our school community continues to grow, we remain open to adding additional sports, such as volleyball, based on student interest, participation, and available coaching support. Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities for students to discover and develop their God-given talents while growing in teamwork, discipline, leadership, and virtue.
Each season provides students with opportunities to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and embrace the values of Christian sportsmanship.
Cross Country
Grades K-8
Students of all ability levels are welcome to join Cross Country, where they build endurance, confidence, and perseverance while encouraging one another to achieve their personal best. Every race is an opportunity to grow in discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
Basketball
Boys & Girls, Grades 4-8
Our basketball program develops athletic skills while teaching teamwork, leadership, and Christian sportsmanship. Student-athletes compete with integrity, support one another, and proudly represent the Regina Academy SJB Crusaders.
Track & Field
Grades K–8
Track & Field offers opportunities for every athlete to discover and develop their unique talents through running, jumping, and field events. Students grow in determination, confidence, and perseverance while celebrating both individual achievements and team success.
Lead With Faith
Excellence is our goal; virtue is our foundation.
Our coaches mentor student-athletes to:
- Compete with honor and integrity
- Lead with faith and courage
- Respect teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials
- Persevere through challenges
- Practice humility in both victory and defeat
- Represent Regina Academy with dignity on and off the field
Every practice, game, and race is an opportunity to grow in virtue, strengthen friendships, and reflect Christ through teamwork, discipline, and service.
The Regina Academy SJB Crusaders
The Crusader is more than our mascot; it is a symbol of our Academy’s identity.
It represents courage rooted in faith, unwavering hope, and a commitment to what is good, true, and beautiful. As Academy Crusaders, our students are called to live boldly as witnesses of Christ, supporting one another as one school family while pursuing excellence in all that they do.
Together in Hope, we inspire children to live with joy, meaning, and purpose — forming minds for truth, hearts for Christ, and lives of faithful service.
