Safe, Joyful, Inspiring

Our Story

Eleven years ago, Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist not only survived a forced closure by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia but was transformed into something extraordinary. We became the antidote to a world in despair—a beacon of hope for Catholic families seeking authentic Catholic education.

We emerged as the answer to a growing concern: many Catholic families who wanted to provide a Catholic education to their children weren’t sure where to turn. They didn’t believe the faith was being adequately taught in Catholic schools and wondered if their children would be better educated elsewhere. There simply wasn’t enough difference to justify the cost of tuition.

Families were longing for a better approach to religious formation and a safe, successful environment to educate their children for an uncertain future. Regina Academy became that answer.

Discovering True Identity and Purpose

We are committed to being a real Catholic school with a clear mission: to guide our students to the “why” of their existence. This discovery happens when students understand their authentic identity as children of God and embrace their purpose to know, love, and serve God in this world and be happy with Him in the next.

As students find this truth, they discover the joy, peace, and love that comes to those who commit their lives to pursuing virtue. It is this truth that sets them free.

When knowing, loving, and serving God becomes integrated with the pursuit of knowledge, students are launched on a lifelong journey for truth, beauty, and goodness. Faith and reason combine to help our children see the “why” of existence, not just the “what.” They become lights that can overwhelm darkness as they grow into virtuous leaders who can transform society in the image of God.

OUR IMPACT

Awakening the Holy Spirit

We are awakening the Holy Spirit at Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist. The importance and impact the Academy has had over the last eleven years with families and children cannot be measured in human terms, but in heavenly realms.

With our commitment to the truths of our Catholic faith, we shine as a light in the darkness. Our students don’t just receive an education—they discover their calling and find the authentic Catholic formation their families have been seeking.
